New NHS LPP Information Management and Technology (including IT Managed Service) Framework published to the market today

The Clinical Digital Solutions team (CDS) at NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) are expanding their framework portfolio.

“Technology is at the centre of evolution for the NHS as it improves operational efficiency and therefore patient care. The investment and procurement decisions being made are important, as are the underpinning contract and vendor management”, said Steve Dunkerley, Category Director of the CDS team.

The bespoke digital procurement strategies through the CDS team at NHS LPP give our members the ability to digitally transform their service at the best value in terms of both quality and cost.

The existing CDS service offering enables straightforward access to NHS services; improved clinical decision support; reduced unwarranted variation across the whole pathway of care; better population health forecasting; and, most importantly, better service value for patients.

“The next logical step is to now grow this offering to encompass the complete Information Management and Technology portfolio,” said Steve. “This will ensure the best value for the NHS while also future-proofing a root to market for digital innovation such as RPA and AI solutions.”

Following the success of the Clinical Digital Information Systems (CDIS) framework, NHS LPP are implementing a new framework that covers end-to-end Information Management and Technology (IM&T), including IT Managed Service, for public sector bodies.

Steve details that the IM&T framework will complement the current CDIS framework. “I believe that NHS LPP evolving the CDIS framework speaks to the digital industry that we’re working in, as it too is constantly growing and evolving. Along with this, technology consultancy is likely to increase in response,  as the role of technology in delivering patient care changes significantly, not least to help the NHS meet the challenge to go digital. CDIS is the gold standard clinical systems route to market for the NHS. Through IM&T we are creating a sister framework that will become the gold standard route to market for all other technology and digital solutions for the NHS and wider public sector”, said Steve.

The Information Management and Technology framework intends to award via nine lots;

Lot 1 – Consultancy

Lot 2 – Network Infrastructure

Lot 3 – Hardware

Lot 4 – Software

Lot 5 – Cybersecurity

Lot 6 – Hosting
