Audits of agencies on our National Clinical Staffing Framework
All agencies supplying temporary workers to the NHS through our National Clinical Staffing Framework will be audited on an annual basis to help ensure compliance with NHS pre-employment check standards
The audit involves an inspection of a representative sample of individual temporary worker files and includes for example that appropriate checks have been made for example in relation to identity, right to work, training, professional qualification and registration and criminal record checks, amongst other checks.
Whilst we undertake this audit to help provide assurance in relation to pre-employment checks, trusts are reminded that agencies should complete pre-employment checklists on request for workers supplied to the trust. Pre-employment checklists are listed on our website under CPP National Clinical Staffing and a part of the supplier agreement.
The results of the most recent file audits are available within the Staff Bank Managers my.lpp workspace or upon request.
