Building Materials and Associated Items

This framework has been established to allow public sector organisations to award contracts for a range of building materials. These can either be awarded on a per lot basis or can be awarded as a managed service through Lot 1.

Benefits of the contract

This framework is a replacement for the previous GPS (CCS) Building Materials Framework. It will allow Authorities to either call off from a contract of products or to run mini competitions or e-auctions for specific products/quantities.

  • Authorities can call off the framework based on agreed framework rates or undertake a mini competition or e-auction where additional commitment can be provided against specific requirements. Both options are fully OJEU compliant.
  • Catalogues can be put into e-tendering systems which will help manage ordering processes and reporting.
  • Various payment mechanisms have been built into the framework allowing for quick and easy processes which can be tailored to each organisation's standing financial instructions.
